Front House Manager

Description

Sets the tone for the flow of the restaurant, including team member performance, quality of food preparation and serving, and creating the ultimate, memorable experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and supervise restaurant team members
  • Recruit, retain, and strengthen all restaurant team members and their skills
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with their entire experience and resolve their concerns as they arise
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated inventory and making orders for restaurant supplies as needed
  • Ensure guest and team member safety
  • Schedule shifts for team members
  • Plan themes for the restaurant surrounding certain holidays when they come around

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years in restaurant operations
  • Proficient in food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports
  • Occasional travel required

Server/Food Runner

Description

Sets tone for guest experience, takes orders and serves food and drink, answers any questions guests regarding the menu, attempts to tend any reasonable requests from guests, and suggestively sells food and drinks.

Responsibilities

  • Serves an enjoyable and memorable experience for guests and is committed to exceeding their expectations
  • Answers questions regarding menu options, especially ingredients as some are spicy
  • Collects cash and credit card payments for food and drinks served
  • Assists guests in selecting food and drink options, and informs guests on the taste, texture, etc. of the ingredients in the food and drink options
  • Greets newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • Maintains a presence in the dining area to assist guests with any of their needs and/or answer any additional questions they may have
  • Maintains a commending relationship with other team members and assists them as time throughout the shift permits and as is needed
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated inventory
  • Invites guests to come back upon them closing their bills, and always promotes an admirable image of Ocho Rios Parrilla to enhance the experience and recognition
  • Answers the phone to confirm guest reservations, take orders over the phone, responds to missed calls and voicemails, etc.
  • Keeps entire kitchen clean, thoroughly sanitizes throughout shift, stocks and sets up station
  • Ensures orders maintain a constant flow out of the kitchen to designated tables 
  • Wipes menus at the end of shift and as needed

Host

Description 

The host is the first and last impression we leave on our customers. S/he ensures our customers feel welcomed and appreciated. Also, interacts with guests to ensure they are seated and fully accommodated for a server to take over.  

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically welcomes guests upon them entering the restaurant
  • Seating guests for servers to take their orders
  • Maintains seating in the event a party may have to wait to be seated
  • Takes and delivers takeout orders to customers and third-party delivery drivers
  • Communicates with servers to ensure when they may or not be ready to take on another table
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated inventory
  • Answers the phone to confirm guest reservations, take orders over the phone, responds to missed calls and voicemails, etc.
  • Ensures guests satisfaction when they leave and invites them to return
  • Able to assist other team members who work on the dining room floor 
  • Wipes menus at the end of shift and as needed

Cook

Description 

To prepare food and create plate presentations that are creative and inviting.  Responsibilities

  • Prepares foods in accordance with recipes, product sensitivity and plate presentation
  • Maintains recipe updates and the highest quality of ingredients
  • As needed, may call orders to other cooks for continued preparation
  • Constantly monitors order tickets to ensure food is prepared in a timely manner
  • Ensures the accuracy of order requested
  • Keeps entire kitchen clean, thoroughly sanitizes throughout shift, stocks and sets up station
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated inventory
  • Ensures orders maintain a constant flow out of the kitchen to designated tables
  • Completes assigned prep work to stock and set up station. Breaks down and cleans station thoroughly at the end of every evening
  • Immediately updates supervisor on any kitchen ingredients that are running out or items that improperly functioning. Initiatives solutions to any problems if the supervisor on duty is unavailable
  • Maintains a commending relationship with other team members and assists them as time throughout the shift permits and as is needed
